Akron General’s 30-bed 7100 Unit is a high acuity cardiac Telemetry and Medical/Surgical Unit. This fast-paced team cares for patients who require extensive ADL assistance and complex medical attention. As RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in ensuring every patient has the best treatment experience possible. You will gain hands-on experience in complex medical concerns and technologies, providing an unmatched advantage within the healthcare industry. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population.
  • Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
  • Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in developing plans of care, coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
  • Administer treatments and medication and document.
  • Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes, contribute to the improvement of care and participate in the quality improvement process.
  • Delegate tasks/assignments, serve as a resource person, pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications, maintain applicable certification/licensure and obtain any required certifications specific to the unit.
