About The Position

The position is for a Registered Nurse at Ochsner Health, responsible for leading patient care using the nursing process while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code for Nurses. The role involves delegating tasks, ensuring quality patient outcomes, and maintaining cultural sensitivity in interactions. The nurse will also participate in achieving departmental goals and demonstrate accountability for their practice.

Requirements

• Registered nurse diploma required; preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Preferred certification in clinical specialty area.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good organizational abilities.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
