About The Position

The Kitting and Materials Handler prints out picking request and pulls and stages parts for delivery for production. They deliver kitted parts to production upon request, document, and update Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet, and return unused parts back to inventory from production. They will operate and maneuver a forklift to complete deliveries and returns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Previous forklift certification or the ability to get a forklift certification required.
  • Able to read blueprints and work from spec books.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to perform simple tasks, such as creating an email and using basic commands. Use of Microsoft office suite (excel, word, etc.), and adobe for viewing prints.
  • Able to communicate progress of projects to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
  • Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse setting preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and Windows preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Print out picking request packet.
  • Pull and stage parts for delivery for production. Use scanner to update inventory by allocating parts to jobs.
  • Deliver kitted parts to production upon request.
  • Document and update Microsoft Excel and Smartsheets.
  • Return unused parts back to inventory from the kits returned from production. Any non-returnable parts will be given a storage location for possible future use.
  • Operate and maneuver a forklift to complete Deliveries and returns.
  • Will support the rest of the warehouse staff in fulfilling request from the production floor or service departments.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.
