We are a sleek and modern software development team building mission-critical applications with real-world impact for the Intelligence Community. We are seeking an experienced RMF Engineer to join our onsite agile team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and the development team to fulfill accreditation requirements and achieve Authority to Operate (ATO). This role involves coordinating and completing Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ATO documentation and artifacts, supporting multiple efforts and applications as part of a small portfolio of projects. The RMF Engineer will collaborate with engineers to drive the completion and compliance of security controls and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Additionally, the engineer will conduct cybersecurity and code quality scans, working with the development team to resolve any issues that arise. Managing and tracking Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and collaborating with development teams to address these is also a key responsibility. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience leading programs through cybersecurity accreditation and the RMF cycle, with multiple examples of ATO awards. A deep knowledge of RMF policy, procedures, and artifacts is essential, along with experience in writing and reviewing these artifacts. The candidate should demonstrate experience in applying RMF guidance, STIGs, and DoD/IC policy, instructions, manuals, checklists, and guides for cybersecurity. Strong communication skills are necessary to engage effectively with stakeholders, including Cybersecurity, ISSO, ISSM, ISSE, SCA, CSM, CSE, CIO, and program staff. The RMF Engineer will lead and drive the RMF process, manage tasking, timelines, artifacts, and delivery, and coach the development team to proactively address potential accreditation challenges. As part of a modern software development/DevSecOps team, this position offers numerous opportunities for growth and skill development. The company is committed to professional development and continuing education, providing resources for employees to define their career trajectories. Employees will work with their supervisors or mentors to set goals and design plans for consistent progress. The company offers corporate partnerships, industry training, peer groups, paid certifications, education reimbursement, hackathons, and more.
