About The Position

The position involves meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections of life safety product lines. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing, and preventative maintenance of these products, as well as similar competitive manufacturer's product lines. The role requires working with low voltage wiring and associated devices, completing Service Acknowledgements, maintaining a structured inspection schedule, and managing inspection documentation. Minor repairs and programming changes may also be required under supervision, and all assigned inspections must be completed on time.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years documented experience in sprinkler systems.
  • Texas Department of Insurance requires RME-I license.
  • Ability to obtain and retain any required licenses by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and operational/product manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
  • Demonstrates aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and difficult positions such as climbing ladders and working in crawl spaces.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends.
  • Willing to travel out of town.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and meet company driving record requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.

  • Backflow certification.
  • NICET Level II certification.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
  • Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation via laptop.
  • Make minor repairs and programming changes under supervision.
  • Complete assigned inspections on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
