About The Position

Tarpon Specialty Services is hiring RMD Pipe Welders for long-term fabrication and project work in the Houston area. We’re looking for welders experienced in RMD root and Flux-Cored (FCAW) fill/cap who take pride in producing quality welds. You’ll perform root pass welds using the Regulated Metal Deposition (RMD) process and complete hot, fill, and cap passes using Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW-G/S). Work includes pipe spool fabrication, field work, and high-spec industrial assemblies.

Requirements

• Proven RMD & FCAW pipe welding experience
• Proficiency in multiple positions (5G/6G preferred)
• Solid understanding of metallurgy, fit-up, and procedures
• Must pass a weld test (RMD root + FCAW fill/cap)

Responsibilities

• Execute precision welds to WPS and project standards
• Read blueprints and verify fit-up specs
• Prepare, align, and tack joints for welding
• Maintain and operate advanced multi-process welding equipment
• Follow all safety and QA/QC procedures
• Self-inspect work to meet NDT acceptance criteria
