The RMA Warranty Technician I position at SIG SAUER, Inc. is a critical role within the Operations department, specifically designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service and technical support in the firearms industry. This position is primarily responsible for collaborating with various teams, including Customer Service, Product Line Management, Design Engineering, and Quality Teams, to effectively process, inspect, disposition, and report on customer returns. The technician will play a vital role in ensuring that customer issues are resolved efficiently and that the quality of SIG SAUER products is maintained at the highest standards. In this role, the technician will support the full inspection process of product returns, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded and that products are properly received and shipped. The technician will also provide technical assistance and issue resolution for SIG SAUER Electro-Optic products, striving to create a win/win scenario for both the customer and the company. This includes entering warranty and order information into Oracle and/or Access databases, informing customers about repair processes, and managing shipping date projections as needed. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for answering incoming emails related to product inquiries, processing warranty claims, and requests for replacement parts. They will perform work orders to transition finished goods to usable or sellable part numbers and facilitate the Oregon Depot Repair Scrap Process. The role may also involve supporting live fire testing upon completion of compliance requirements and communicating effectively with Quality, Product Line Management, and Design Engineering personnel regarding trends or new product complaints and defects. This position is essential for maintaining the high standards of quality and customer satisfaction that SIG SAUER is known for.
