About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Technician to join our team for a 3-month project in the greater Austin, TX area. The RMA Technician will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing returned alarm systems, as well as managing related logistics. This position involves working onsite in our service lab. Autonomy Administrative Work Technical Expertise

Requirements

Prior experience in an RMA, repair, or technical support role is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with electronics, hand tools, and power tools.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and software-related issues.
Comfortable working with software updates and basic firmware installations.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

Receive and process returned alarm systems.
Perform visual and mechanical inspections on returned products.
Clean and prepare products for testing and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot returned systems for functional issues.
Perform software updates and firmware checks on returned units, using designated apps.
Utilize hand and power tools to repair and refurbish systems.
Repackage and prepare repaired systems for shipment back to customers.
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, updates, and inventory using designated apps.
Oversee the organization and upkeep of the service lab and warehouse, ensuring all returned products, tools, and materials are properly sorted, stored, and accounted for.
Ensure quality standards are met for all returned products.
