Turbocharged high-performance engine developer and manufacturer, Banks Power, is looking for a hard-working detail-oriented RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Associate. You'll be responsible for the company's day-to-day RMA processing and activities, ensuring timely handling and accurate documentation. This role plays a key part in maintaining customer satisfaction by efficiently managing returns and upholding service standards.

  • Track, monitor, and expedite the movement of returned material through the RMA process
  • Receive, sort, and inventory returned kits to confirm all parts have been returned; accurately record information in the ERP system
  • Review history information to validate pricing
  • Test returned electronic parts by replicating the reported failure, including reloading software and re-testing the components
  • Contact customer directly to gather additional information about faulty products if needed
  • Document and report test results to supervisor
  • Determine appropriate disposition of returned product and process accordingly through the ERP system
  • Issue replacements for warranty-covered items that are not repairable
  • Return functional items to inventory
  • Designate items as scrap when necessary
  • Inform supervisor of returns that have been processed daily
  • Process shipping refusals
  • Follow up with customers on open-balance RMAs
  • Operate tier lift truck or hand-truck to move and inventory shipments safely
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Identify and suggest improvements to the RMA process
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in RMA processing or a related field
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred
  • Proven accuracy in numerical data entry and strong attention to detail
  • General understanding of automotive systems or components
  • Ability to follow procedures, work independently, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to provide superior customer service
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus
