About The Position

The Lead Host at River Rock ensures exceptional guest service is provided to guests at all times and handles all elevated complaints or concerns. This role oversees the restaurant operation during the absence of the manager, assists in seating, keeps the outlet clean, and prepares the outlet for service. The Lead Host follows pre-determined service standards to ensure a positive guest dining experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year previous experience performing same or similar job duties.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous experience exercising sound judgment when dealing with difficult guest situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced, hectic environment.
  • Accurate money handling and documentation skills.
  • Present a professional appearance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors staff to ensure outstanding guest service is being provided to guests and handles any guest concerns or complaints.
  • Handles escalated guest issues and employee relations.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Inspects tables and stations, ensuring that all setups meet the department standards and checks throughout the meal period.
  • Relays deficiencies to respective personnel and follows up on corrections.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of POS and manual systems.
  • Ensures all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Inspects the restaurant to ensure all cleanliness standards are being maintained at all times.
  • Handles all voided checks in accordance with accounting procedures, assists servers with expediting problem payments, and handles all other cashiering issues.
  • Maintains complete knowledge and complies with all Departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Conducts start of shift meetings with staff to review standards and procedures.
  • Provides outstanding customer service in a timely manner and demonstrates the I CARE Culture to both guests and fellow team members.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
