About The Position

The Risk Prevention Specialist supports our Safety Management Team by improving safety culture, managing incident reports and claims, and facilitating return-to-work programs. This role ensures compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting employee well-being.

Requirements

Knowledge of general safety practices and ability to interpret local, state, and federal regulations.
Working knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Act and related statutes; 3–5 years experience preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, body systems, and impairments; experience in safety or risk management.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Risk Management, or Safety preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Manage incident reporting and investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance.
Oversee workers’ compensation claims and serve as the primary contact for insurance and medical providers.
Coordinate return-to-work programs, including light-duty assignments and scheduling post-incident treatment.
Analyze incident trends to recommend process improvements and reduce workplace hazards.
Maintain OSHA logs, safety incentive programs, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
