About The Position

We are seeking a Risk Manager (RM) who will be responsible for supporting and promoting Easterseals PORT Health’s mission, vision, values, and commitment to the rights and personal outcomes of those we serve. The Risk Manager supports all of our Virginia programs through a blend of remote and onsite collaboration. Your Role in Our Mission As the Risk Manager (RM) , you will play a pivotal role in advancing quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across Easterseals PORT Health's Virginia programs. In this collaborative role, you will provide training, guidance, and support for compliance and quality improvement initiatives, lead and participate in audits, develop annual quality and risk management plans, review incident reports, and facilitate meaningful root cause analyses. Your work directly enables the success of our programs and the people we serve each day! The RM builds and maintains strong relationships with Virginia regulatory bodies, partners with leadership to develop and refine policies, monitors regulatory compliance, and drives improvement efforts that enhance stakeholder satisfaction. Occasional in‑state travel is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a human service field
  • 5 years of experience in human service delivery or equivalent RM / QM experience
  • Knowledge and experience with regulations and rules in mental health, substance use, and I/DD in Virginia
  • Current, unrestricted, state-approved driver’s license and current vehicle insurance
