About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Senior Risk Management Manager to be based in New York. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Lead the risk management process for four $3 billion vertical construction projects. Conduct thorough review of documents and analyze project data to develop and maintain risk profiles. Prepare risk reports and presentations, including all supporting documents such as risk registers. Develop quantitative cost and schedule risk models to facilitate informed decision-making for the program. Conduct cross functional risk workshops with key parties , including client representatives, project sponsors, Design-Build representatives, and other PMO personnel. Ensure that Design-Builders implement and participate in a proactive risk management process, identifying risk owners, developing risk mitigations, and clearly establishing accountability. Support Program Management functions and general management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Economics, Statistics, or a related technical field plus ten years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including two years of leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Economics, Statistics, or related technical field
  • Professional capital project delivery or risk management designation such as P.E., R.A., PMI-PMP, or PMI-RMP
  • 5 years of experience in risk management
  • Demonstrated competency in implementing ISO31000 Risk Management guidelines or other risk management frameworks
  • Proven history of developing a risk-based management approach in a large programs or projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly with program or project leadership
  • Deep understanding of project management fundamentals including project controls, project scheduling, cost estimating and cost management
  • Strong analytics skills and proficiency in using MS Excel
  • Experience with Monte Carlo simulation and familiarity with applicable software, such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, and/or Crystal Ball.
