About The Position

MSC Cruises, the world’s third largest cruise line brand is expanding its Risk Management team in the USA. Reporting to the Risk Management Manager, the Risk Management Specialist will play a key role in safeguarding the organization, its guests, and employees by promptly identifying, assessing, and escalating potential risks reported through various communication channels. You will manage inbound and outbound communications related to incidents, safety concerns, property damage, liability claims, security events, and guest or employee safety issues. This is a proactive and investigative role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office, in Miami.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Hospitality, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in risk management, hospitality operations, claims handling, or similar roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and incident/case management systems.
  • US Passport or US Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound calls, emails, and incident reports regarding potential risks, claims, or safety concerns within MSC Cruises’ operations.
  • Document and triage incident details accurately in the incident management system.
  • Assess the urgency and severity of incidents to determine appropriate escalation pathways.
  • Provide details to the Risk Management Manager, and the legal team following risk management procedures and initial response protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Contact Center, Legal, Security, and Operations teams.
  • Initiate follow-ups to ensure timely resolution of open cases.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Support the analysis and trending of incident data to identify risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of risk management processes and contact center operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on hospitality industry risks and compliance requirements.
