About The Position

As a Vice President for Auto Private Label Captive Finance & Leasing Risk in the Consumer & Community Bank (CCB), you will play a critical role providing independent risk oversight for the Chase Auto business across private label captive finance and leasing. You will deliver strategic, data-driven risk support by analyzing market and portfolio trends and monitoring lease residual performance as well as overseeing key leasing processes and relevant accounting frameworks. You will manage executive and regulatory reporting and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (including Finance, Risk, and OEM-facing client teams) and external industry partners to support fact-based decisions while appropriately balancing risk/reward trade-offs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in consumer lending risk, auto finance/leasing, portfolio risk, and/or analytics
  • Experience with consumer lending products (e.g. Auto loan, Mortgage)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; proficiency with Excel, Tableau, or similar analytical tools
  • Strong technical and statistical skills. Ability to synthesize / analyze diverse information, develops recommendations, and make decisions
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence across functions and seniority
  • Project Management Skills -- well-organized, structured approach. Ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables. Ability to manage and prioritize projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals across departments / functions and with senior-level individuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with residual value risk and performance analysis
  • Familiarity with risk share agreements, remarketing concepts
  • SQL and/or a programming language (Python/R) for data manipulation and analysis

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the second line of defense for Chase Auto’s leasing portfolio, providing independent oversight and effective challenge across key leasing processes
  • Act as the risk liaison for leasing and residual value risk, partnering closely with OEM-facing client teams and stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Legal/Compliance, Operations, and Technology
  • Influence discussions by providing Auto Risk point of view related to onboarding new partner relationships
  • Monitor leasing portfolio performance, including residual value setting and comparisons of origination values versus realized sale values
  • Analyze trends and synthesize data to support risk management decisions and strategic recommendations
  • Provide oversight of lease processes, relevant accounting frameworks, and controls
  • Prepare and manage executive and regulatory reporting, including senior-ready materials and timely updates to governance forums
  • Participate in meetings with external residual value vendor partners and internal risk committees; communicate findings clearly and credibly
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s risk and control framework while identifying opportunities for control and process enhancements
