About The Position

Elderwood Administrative Services is seeking a Risk Management Associate to join our corporate Risk Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to directly support organizational safety, compliance, and cost-control initiatives - while applying advanced Excel and analytical skills to drive meaningful results. The Risk Management team plays a vital role in protecting our residents, staff, and facilities by reducing risks, ensuring compliance, and implementing proactive strategies across the organization. This position offers exposure to a wide range of insurance programs and operational strategies, with the chance to grow in a specialized field of healthcare risk management.

Requirements

  • Associates degree required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience reporting/handling Workers’ Compensation claims required; multiline insurance experience preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of State Workers’ Compensation Laws and OSHA Recordkeeping.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA and confidential handling of PHI required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365; intermediate/expert Excel skills preferred.
  • Valid, current driver license for occasional travel (10%).

Responsibilities

  • Support and collaborate with the VP of Risk Management to implement risk reduction strategies across multiple facilities.
  • Handle and report Workers’ Compensation, Professional/General Liability, and Auto insurance claims, working directly with insurance carriers and facility staff.
  • Analyze incident data and claim trends, preparing high-impact reports that guide leadership decisions.
  • Coordinate and ensure compliance with OSHA Recordkeeping, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain claim databases with precision and provide critical support for insurance renewals, audits, and compliance processes.
  • Partner with facilities to ensure consistent practices in incident reporting, employee injury management, and return-to-work programs.
