Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in a health-related field (preferred) or have equivalent work experience in lieu of education.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for development/administration of Performance Improvement, Risk Management, and Staff Development activities throughout the hospital to ensure that all state, federal, TJC standards for care consistently met.
  • Collects and analyzes data on hospital performance, incidents, and documentation to improve hospital performance and ensure provision of quality care.
  • Works closely with all Department Director’s to recommend/provide required staff development and tailored programs based upon data analysis.
  • Monitors, investigates, and as required, reports all hospital incidents.
  • Monitor the hospitals quality program.
  • Demonstrates an extensive knowledge of all regulatory standards including TJC, Medicaid, state, and federal laws.
  • Advises and informs departments on regulatory standards.
  • Works with hospital employees to identify risk/safety concerns and leads the team to take correction action as needed.
  • Collects and analyzes data on hospital performance.
  • Collects incident reports; records, analyzes, investigates data and reports to Quality Council and CEO.
  • Utilizes the PDCA method to develop improvement plans for the hospital.
  • Ensures hospital meets all regulatory standards and laws.
  • All other duties assigned.
