About The Position

Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children’s Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines program. Responsible for receiving, investigating and responding to patient questions, concerns or complaints. Responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Risk Management plan. Reviews and analyzes risk management data and assists Director with developing and implementing plans to reduce risk and liability.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Two years acute care or relevant experience required.
  • License/Certification: Certified Professional in healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must have working knowledge of healthcare industry.
  • Possess strong customer service skills/interpersonal interactions; ability to handle difficult and angry people constructively; savvy enough to interact with physicians/senior leadership.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including analysis, planning, organizing, and troubleshooting.
  • Superior oral, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Professional in healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
