About The Position

As GCOP Risk Framework Manager, you will lead, with support from the Head of Risk Frameworks, the delivery of the Own Risk Assessment (ORA) and Enterprise Risk priorities for the Trustee. You will take responsibility for developing and embedding the Enterprise Risk Framework, Policy and Directive, maintaining the Scheme Risk Register, and ensuring robust internal controls. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of critical projects that shape enterprise risk management and strengthen our governance framework. You will oversee the delivery of the controls element of the Effective System of Governance (ESOG) and lead the ORA process as part of the GCOP project. A key part of your role will be ensuring that ORA findings and recommendations are reported clearly and concisely to the Trustee, while contributing to Committee and Board papers to keep stakeholders informed of progress.

Requirements

  • Confident leader with deep knowledge of risk frameworks, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in enterprise risk management and internal controls.
  • Good project management skills and the ability to deliver complex initiatives to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as is the ability to present complex information clearly to senior audiences.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while influencing and guiding others.
  • Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with external consultants, Change & Transformation teams, and subject matter experts to ensure the project plan is delivered on time and meets all requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the Own Risk Assessment (ORA) and Enterprise Risk priorities for the Trustee.
  • Develop and embed the Enterprise Risk Framework, Policy and Directive.
  • Maintain the Scheme Risk Register.
  • Ensure robust internal controls.
  • Oversee the delivery of the controls element of the Effective System of Governance (ESOG).
  • Lead the ORA process as part of the GCOP project.
  • Ensure that ORA findings and recommendations are reported clearly and concisely to the Trustee.
  • Contribute to Committee and Board papers to keep stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Champion our values by influencing and communicating effectively to support decision-making, fostering collaboration across risk peers and business units to share best practices, and acting as a role model for accountability and reliability, ensuring excellence in policy and governance.
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably requested.
