Job Summary We are looking for experienced and motivated individuals to fill the Technical Risk Engineer position within our Gulf of Mexico Health, Safety and Environment Department. This position is located onshore in the Woodlands, TX, reporting to the Technical Risk Manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant technical risk experience working in the Oil & Gas industry; experience working offshore preferred.
  • Deepwater project risk management, all phases of a facility development installation, operation life cycle.
  • Development of Executive Leadership process safety and risk management performance updates.
  • Development of project HSE documents including risk management plans and site safety plans.
  • Experience in Process Safety Management principles, processes, procedures, and the execution of process safety management practices in the oil and gas industry
  • Development of Process Safety Management training programs tailored to different levels within the organization.
  • Experience working on Offshore Production Facilities including implementation of Safe Systems of work etc.
  • HSE Management system development, implementation, and auditing.
  • Facilitation of qualitative risk assessments addressing fabrication, transportation, installation, construction, commissioning, and decommissioning.
  • Facilitation of qualitative risk assessments such as What-If, HAZOP, HAZID and FMECA studies addressing fabrication, transportation, installation, construction, commissioning, and decommissioning.
  • Detailed knowledge of Critical Mitigating Elements (CME) and Key Mitigation Elements.
  • Review and comment upon incident reports for process safety issues and recommend programs for safety improvement.
  • Support to Incident investigations using recognized incident investigation techniques.
  • Regulatory affairs management and coordination.
  • Knowledge of environmental impact assessments.
  • Field experience in drilling operations including the identification and management of drilling execution risks and the use of the GOA Drilling and Completion risks assessments process.
  • Quantitative analysis of offshore facilities including drilling rigs and deepwater developments.
  • Development of SIMOPs Matrices and Manual or Permitted Operations MOPOs.
  • Experience in SIL and LOPA analysis and fault tree development.
  • Training in risk management techniques, hazard identification and job safety analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of MOC procedures their implementation and management of change.
  • Experience in the use of Risk Assessment Software ARA and PHAST.
  • Member of Incident Management Team
  • Mentor Risk Team less experienced team members in risk assessment techniques.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering Required. Civil, Mechanical or Chemical preferred.
