Colquitt Regional Health System is currently hiring a Risk Coordinator. The health care risk coordinator performs duties related to managing potential risks and liabilities within the organization. This includes creating and implementing policies that improve both patient care and employee safety, educating and training staff about potential risks and patient safety, and performing risk assessments to help with mitigation. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Under the leadership of the VP of Quality and Director of Quality, the Risk Coordinator works daily with other staff to assess potential risks. Takes phone calls about patient complaints, compliments, and/or grievances of any manner. Collects data and assessed to identify problems or weaknesses in hospital procedures. Conducts root cause analysis, risk assessments, and other assessments needed to protect the organization from risks. Manages event reports and software to assure investigation is complete and timely. Prepares cases and completes case files for case review(peer review) to include actions needed. Forms teams as needed based on risks discovered or high risk processes. Reviews code blue, mortality and other case reviews as necessary. Completes EOC dashboard and provides other quality data as requested, for example MEC. Assists with reporting incidents, asserted claims or lawsuits to appropriate parties. Responds timely and coordinates all attorney request. Conducts regular rounds to assure safety within the facility. Participates in resident review and reporting requirements. Annual completion of World Health Organization hand hygiene education and training and its relationship to infection control in addition to physical demonstration and understanding of compliance monitoring.
