The Risk, Controls, and Assurance (RCA) Intern will support the RCA team in ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), SOC1, SOC2, and HiTrust Security certification. This full-time internship will last 8-11 months, with cohorts starting in January and May 2025, and will involve both remote and in-office work.

  • Create and document results of control testing and review.
  • Provide research support, develop work programs, and engagement plans.
  • Collaborate with audit team members.
  • Assess risk of IT systems, operational processes, and financial processes.
  • Document business processes dependent on information technology.
  • Analyze results of specific or general work requests.
  • Maintain direct contact with external audit firms for audit planning and remediation.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
  • Actively pursuing a Graduate Degree in Accounting, Business, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related program.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
