We have an excellent career opportunity in our Worker's Compensation Claims Closure Consulting practice for someone who would like to move from adjusting claims to consulting. This is a virtual role with the flexibility to work from home in the continental United States. Requirements

  • Minimum three years' experience with adjusting Workers' Compensation lost-time and litigated claims.
  • Well-versed in lost-time claims, including high-dollar settlement negotiations, litigation strategy, and MSAs.
  • Multi jurisdictional claims experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience (3+ years of meaningful experience in Work Comp Claims).

Responsibilities

  • Assigned large, sophisticated workers' compensation consulting projects with a duration of approximately 20 months.
  • Reviewing multi-jurisdiction claim activity based upon industry standard methodologies and assessing compliance of standard processes as it pertains to the handling of WC claims.
  • Understanding current claim status and developing appropriate and bold strategies on legacy claims (older than 12 months) to either bring claim to resolution or to minimize costs.
  • Monitoring adjuster activity to ensure strategies are implemented.
  • Evaluating reserve and settlement exposure and reviewing appropriateness of legal strategy.
