About The Position

Fairview Cyber is seeking motivated and detail-oriented interns for our Risk Assurance team in Raleigh, NC. This internship provides hands-on experience in cybersecurity risk management, compliance, and assurance services. This is an in office position for the spring semester.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Interest in cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship or coursework related to cybersecurity or risk assurance is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and documentation of clients’ cybersecurity controls and procedures.
• Participate in risk assessments, including the identification and analysis of potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Support the preparation and review of reports detailing findings, recommendations, and remediation plans.
• Help monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and frameworks .
• Contribute to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze data, conduct research, and present actionable insights to clients.
• Stay up to date with current cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
