About The Position

The Risk and Control Director is responsible for the documentation, measurement, analysis, and mitigation of operational risk for functional process owners in Private Banking Operations (PBO). This is accomplished through a range of activities such as gathering and maintaining operations reporting; reviewing compliance with firm policies and regulatory expectations; analyzing key risk metrics; executing frequent reporting and escalation to senior stakeholders, and tracking remediation plans. The Director will generally perform these risk and control framework responsibilities in collaboration with functional process owners within PBO. Core responsibilities include: > Day to day operational support via oversight and central point of escalation for PBO > Facilitating Risk Assessments (iNFR-A) and review control design > Reporting and review of operational risk incidents > Manage internal and external audits, as well as compliance reviews Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week. Requirements

  • Previous experience in financial services with Operations risk management and People Management
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent prioritization and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate ability to learn quickly with strong flexibility regarding the duties assigned and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Can identify key control points within a process, and then provide assessment of the preventative and detective controls
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and has an execution-focused approach
  • Microsoft suite experience with strong background in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in risk management related to daily processing, escalation of issues and proposed resolution
  • Understanding of technical risk and control environments, such as experiences in informational security and business continuity management

Responsibilities

  • Review, analysis and post-mortem of Operational Risk Incidents (ORIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), audit/exam findings, and/or regulatory findings as they pertain to PBO
  • Fostering risk management skills through training and development of colleagues, both in the risk and control organization and the functional processing teams
  • Production of key Operations reporting to Senior Management of PBO
  • Day to day operational support via oversight and central point of escalation for teams in PBO
  • Oversight and implementation of Firm and Operational risk initiatives as they apply to PBO
