About The Position
As a Risk & Compliance Intern at Crowe, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with their business needs by analyzing their risk and control environments, evaluating compliance with regulatory requirements, and defining, developing, and implementing business processes, controls, and technology solutions. This position is part of Crowe's Consulting Practice, where you will collaborate with a diverse team to address specific client issues and needs. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients from various industries, including financial services, life sciences, public sector, and technology, allowing you to gain a broad understanding of different business environments. Your responsibilities will include working closely with the Internal Audit team to help clients manage their business risks and enhance their internal audit and regulatory compliance programs. You will assess and test control environments, identify opportunities for process optimization, and design systems to meet accounting and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in the Operational & Enterprise Risk Management team, where you will help clients understand their current risk environments and develop strategies to manage risks sustainably. You will also assist in implementing an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework to monitor risk management programs effectively. In the Model Risk Management area, you will evaluate financial models to ensure they operate effectively and comply with regulatory expectations. This will involve validating and testing various components of each model to identify gaps and weaknesses. Furthermore, as part of the Loan Review team, you will conduct due diligence reviews of credit files to help financial institutions mitigate credit risk and support potential mergers or acquisitions.
