About The Position

Risk Analyst Are you passionate about identifying potential risks before they become challenges while supporting business partners build strategies that keep our organization protected? The Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) Risk Team within the Fidelity Risk Group is looking for a passionate, hard-working team member to help support the business in identifying, monitoring and mitigating risks in order protect the interests of the firm and our customers. The Risk Analyst is responsible for protecting Fidelity’s customers and associates and deepening their trust in Fidelity by partnering with the business to identify risks and develop innovative solutions to enhance controls, while fostering a strong risk mindset within the business. The Role The candidate’s primary responsibilities are Assessing end-to-end business processes, considering what-can-go-wrong questions to identify key risks, mitigating controls, and potential gaps Utilizing data analytics and other tools to assess risk, control design adequacy and effectiveness Demonstrating curiosity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements to mitigate risks Helps identify and execute initiatives to improve existing processes within the Risk team and foster a collaborative working environment, including management/team routines and use of digital technologies, as well as an agile approach to risk activities Working as part of a team to execute these objectives, including collaborating with the business The Team Our Risk organization provides business unit level risk support to the Fund Administration team within FFIO business unit. The FFIO business unit provides middle and back office operational support to Fidelity Retail, Institutional and Alternative Investment products, including books and records maintenance, securities' pricing, fund and security level performance analysis, financial reporting, and tax work. The Fund Administration team is responsible for several critical functions including shareholder reporting, proxy voting, tax, and new product implementations. Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree required
  • 3-5 years’ industry experience (e.g., Audit or other Risk related role)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented, with ability to manage multiple and competing tasks and priorities
  • Presents information in an organized and professional manner
  • Knowledgeable and experience in data analysis techniques, executive reporting, and use of visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau)
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and coordinated manner
  • Approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements to mitigate risks and drive positive change
  • Adaptable to new information, changing business priorities, input from others, and lessons learned
  • Understands, supports, and can articulate the vision, mission, and strategy of Risk

Responsibilities
