About The Position

The position assists and advises the Vendor Management Program (VMP) Manager in ensuring that bank wide vendor/third party risk is appropriately managed and mitigated through the Bank's Vendor Management Program. The role involves performing all duties and interacting with internal and external customers in a manner that aligns with the Company's Core Values of approaching all actions with a 'Voyaging Spirit' and being 'Positively Ohana'. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience required.
  • 6-12 months of business/financial experience for Risk Analyst I (vendor relations, contract management or procurement management preferred).
  • 1+ years of business/financial experience for Risk Analyst II (vendor relations, contract management or procurement management preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the VMP Manager to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Vendor Management Program.
  • Work closely with contract managers to ensure they understand the requirements of the Program; provide training and necessary assistance.
  • Review contract manager's submissions and evaluate for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track contract manager's progress and assist with preparing periodic reports to management and the Board.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the Bank to share information and support compliance of other programs.
  • Work with subject matter experts in the vendor risk mitigation and sign-off process.
  • Ensure contract managers understand and complete requirements for vendors impacting financial reporting.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and update the Program as necessary.
  • Assist with providing required documentation and evidence to auditors and examiners.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement regarding the Vendor Management Program's processes.
  • Complete Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager program and maintain certification.
  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities associated with VendorPoint and Venminder.
  • Manage users on the VendorPoint system to ensure current access levels.
  • Ensure information on VendorPoint and Venminder systems are accurate and current.
  • Add new vendors for monitoring services on the Venminder system.
  • Participate in quarterly VendorPoint user group meetings and vendor meetings.
  • Input new vendors and changes to information in the Bank's accounts payable system.
  • Ensure timely and accurate input of vendor information in accordance with current procedures.
