The Risk Analyst I supports the Risk Management department in administering the company’s insurance programs, managing claims, coordinating property loss control efforts, and assisting with business continuity planning. This role provides analytical and administrative support to ensure effective risk mitigation and protection of company assets, while gaining foundational experience in corporate risk management

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires data management and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to assess existing processes and suggest opportunities for improved efficiencies and cost.
  • Has strong abilities with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and enterprise data systems.
  • Requires excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze and prioritize risks and exposures to loss.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of underwriting data for annual insurance renewals, including property values, vehicle schedules, and certificates of insurance.
  • Assist in compiling claim data for management reports and identifying claim trends.
  • Coordinate property loss control inspections and assist in the tracking and closure of loss control recommendations.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of the company’s business continuity and crisis response plans
  • Process and track invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment
  • Assist in influencing risk management behavior through performance metrics and benchmarking as needed.
