The Rise@AG Summer Externship is a unique, one-week, in-person program designed for academically curious undergraduate students expected to graduate in either winter 2027 or spring 2028 as they explore the impactful world of economic consulting. The program is open to all applicants, with a focus on providing opportunities to individuals who have not had prior exposure to economic consulting. Participants will gain insights into how Analysis Group consultants address critical problems in business and litigation through data analysis, strategic thinking, and research, while also developing strategies for navigating the workplace and effectively managing teams by accounting for differences in work styles, personalities, and cultures. Externs will strengthen their ability to apply analytical skills, tackle a mock case, shadow an Analyst, receive interview coaching, and network with AG consultants and leaders. They will also have the opportunity to network with our affinity groups - which are open to all employees - such as Black@AG and Latins@AG , providing an additional avenue to learn about AG’s inclusive culture and build lasting professional relationships. Externs selected for the Rise@AG program will gain: An introduction to economic consulting – Explore how consultants at AG tackle complex economic and financial questions that drive impact across industries. Hands-on experience through a mock case – Work alongside peers to solve a simulated consulting project, applying critical thinking and analytical skills. Exposure to the analyst role – Shadow an AG analyst to see what the day-to-day work looks like and understand the skills needed to succeed. Skill-building opportunities – Strengthen your analytical toolkit and practice your interview skills to prepare for future recruiting processes. Recruiting insights – Learn how to stand out as a candidate and receive interview coaching applicable to a wide range of roles. Opportunities to engage with AG affinity groups – Affinity groups are open to all AG employees, and externs will network with members of groups ( e.g. , Black@AG and Latins@AG ) through panels and interactive discussions . Peer networking – Build connections with fellow undergrads from universities across the country. This externship provides a valuable opportunity to experience economic consulting, strengthen professional skills, and explore whether a career at Analysis Group could be the right fit. At the end of the program, externs who are interested in exploring a Summer Analyst internship position may apply when our intern recruiting season begins in early to mid-August 2026 and may be considered for a first-round interview at that time. Summer A nalysts spend 10 weeks with us from June to August, working on complex business problems across various industries and practice areas. During the program, they collaborate closely with case teams, professors, legal counsel and clients, gaining valuable exposure to both the analytical and strategic aspects of economic consulting. At the end of the internship, interns are assessed for full-time Analyst positions within their respective office locations. Full-time Analysts benefit from robust professional development opportunities, including support for those pursuing graduate school.
