About The Position

The Rigid Forming Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining thermoforming equipment in a manufacturing environment, ensuring product quality meets customer specifications while following safety protocols and production standards. Direction Received: Usually, direction comes from the Shift Supervisor. Hours: 7PM-7AM Must be able to work rotating shifts May require nights, weekends, and holidays. An additional $2.50/hr. premium added to salary for our worked between 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Stable work history
  • Basic computer proficiency including email
  • Accurately read and use measuring tools
  • Ability to read and follow production schematics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts preferred
  • Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)
  • Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Basic understanding of thermoforming processes and equipment
  • Equipment Operation, basic maintenance and cleaning
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Understanding of Quality control procedures and specifications
  • Knowledge of PRISM or similar manufacturing software systems
  • Basic mathematical concepts and measurements
  • Basic mechanical systems
  • Proficient in (computer systems such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and PRISM

Responsibilities

  • Set up and/or operate equipment (Thermoformers, vacuum lifts, forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, micrometers, dials, or calibrated scales)
  • Must be capable of operating multiple thermoforming lines simultaneously, including different types of Thermoformers and associated front/back side operations as required
  • Identify machine issues and quickly troubleshoot to resolve malfunctions to maintain production schedules
  • Monitor and document product quality by auditing process parameters, taking measurements, and analyzing quality data to ensure specifications are met.
  • Perform basic operator Preventative Maintenance (PM) to avoid shutdowns.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality through process audits, measurements, and visual inspections, analyzing data and responding to defects to ensure specifications are consistently met.
  • Taking/measuring product samples to ensure product is within customer specifications.
  • Entering and analyzing product quality data to identify if the product is within control and specification.
  • Read and follow production schematics to produce products in line with design and manufacturing standards.
  • Ability learn and execute Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures
  • Ability to obtain Forklift/Material Handler skill set and certification
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and GMP
  • Ability to use computer systems such as Microsoft office and Inventory Managing Software
  • Ability to work with and communicate closely with online product inspectors when needed
  • Foster an environment focused on safety, including but not limited to: performing machine safety audits, behavior-based safety observations, identifying near misses and opportunities for improvement, driving associate engagement on shift, performing lock out tag out
