About The Position

The Right of Way Technician position within the Waste Water Department involves performing various tasks related to the maintenance and inspection of County Waste Water Rights-of-Ways. This role requires a combination of technical skills and physical labor to ensure the effective operation of sewer facilities and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Valid SC Driver's license and CDL certification with Tanker Endorsement, or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to obtain Wastewater Certifications.
  • Considerable knowledge of sewer equipment, facilities, materials, methods, and procedures used in maintenance and repair activities.
  • Skill in the operation of tools and equipment related to the job.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rights-of-way cleaning and clearing activities.
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on all County Waste Water Rights-of-Ways.
