Right of Way Technician

This opportunity entails working with public agencies and private individuals to identify and value private property for public use or private projects. May perform various activities in data entry, file and document management and maintenance, appraisal and survey review, and other functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree, or In lieu of degree, 2 years of relevant experience
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree
- Texas Real Estate License, issued by Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC)
Responsibilities
- Assists with keeping project spreadsheets and other tracking software up to date for acquisition schedules.
- Completes portions of appraisal reports that do not require opinions or conclusions.
- For licensed trainees, assist Certified General or Residential appraiser(s) with development of market analysis, highest and best use analysis, value analysis, and other conclusions essential to an appraisal of real property consistent with USPAP and State and Federal laws.
- Meets with property owners to discuss the proposed acquisitions and explain the appraisal and acquisition process for right of way projects.
- Works with design engineers and staff, review right of way plats, and interprets construction plans.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
