About The Position

The Senior Right of Way Representative at Oncor Electric Delivery is responsible for acquiring land and land rights necessary for the construction and operation of distribution facilities. This role involves managing right of way assets, protecting Oncor's interests, and maintaining positive relations with landowners to minimize disputes. The incumbent acts as a negotiator and mediator, oversees contract agents, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Oncor Electric Delivery and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of real estate law, especially eminent domain proceedings.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead effective cross-functional team meetings.
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of maps, plats, and engineering drawings.
  • A Bachelor's degree and three years of experience, or some college with seven years of related right of way experience.
  • Effective negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • International Right of Way Association Membership and its Senior Member (SR/WA) designation.
  • Texas Real Estate license.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Field Agent Supervisor on extensive projects and coordinate job activities of Right of Way Representatives and consultants.
  • Prepare legal documents such as easements and submit them to ROW Attorney in Fact for execution.
  • Establish and update project schedules and statuses in compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Research public records to determine property ownership and perform abstract of title to locate easements and fee title deeds.
  • Protect Oncor Electric Delivery's investment, title, and rights in its real property.
  • Provide guidance to Distribution Design and Operations personnel on land and landowner issues.
  • Negotiate and settle damage claims from construction, maintenance, or removal of facilities.
  • Oversee Company and Contract Agents on extensive projects, reviewing invoices and ensuring compliance with task agreements.
  • Conduct meetings with various stakeholders to coordinate projects and resolve issues.
  • Determine Oncor Electric Delivery's rights pursuant to existing easements and act as a liaison between landowners and Oncor.
