Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct/complete title reports, perform right of way negotiations, relocation assistance (Residential/Business) following the Uniform Act, and perform property management functions.

Requirements

  • The ROW Technical Specialist should have experience in acquisition and negotiation of right of way and easements, relocation assistance, reading and interpreting title reports, closings, condemnation, reading and interpreting right of way and construction plans, and experience and understanding of the Uniform Relocation Act.
  • Prequalified with, or the ability to become prequalified, with TDOT
  • A minimum of two years of experience in right-of-way plan review, acquisition, title research, relocation, and closing
  • Provide pre-negotiation project, parcel, property owner and occupant due diligence, negotiations for acquisition of rights and relocation of displacees relative to public or private projects
  • Attend public meetings
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, communicate and document effectively, and handle large volumes of work
  • Ability to prioritize assignments
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to write clearly and prepare reports & correspondence.
  • Microsoft office, GIS Mapping, read roadway construction plans, deeds, plats
  • Good driving record
