About The Position

The Right of Way Business Development Manager at Bowman Consulting Group is responsible for directing and managing business development efforts, focusing on creating promotional concepts and new client opportunities across various service areas and geographic locations. This role involves collaborating closely with firm Principals, conducting market research, and fostering relationships to drive business growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Ten or more years of business development, sales, and marketing experience.
  • Five or more years of experience working within the AEC industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of creating new business opportunities and securing new business.
  • Ability to travel as defined by business development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Receive broad guidance from senior-level management relating to overall key objectives and critical issues.
  • Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution of business development strategies.
  • Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
  • Identify, formulate, and execute strategic initiatives for regional business growth.
  • Maximize contact with key accounts and critical contacts at client organizations to generate new work.
  • Provide input to management based on market information to develop organizational capabilities.
  • Meet individual metric goals and cultivate personal business development relationships.
  • Develop promotional concepts and new client business opportunities in all service areas.
  • Identify and attend industry conferences to foster networking and source qualified prospects.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence for new projects and opportunities.
