About The Position

The Right of Way Agent is technical services work involving entry level aspects of land acquisition for highway right-of-way purposes. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Contacting property owners and conducting property negotiations, Checking deeds and related records for information, Locating physical improvements and property boundaries, and Assisting in the preparation of necessary documents. Knowledge of real estate valuation practices and procedures as well as the ability to read highway, bridge and multi-modal construction plans are preferred.

Requirements

  • An Associates degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of training, experience, and education, providing a knowledge of real estate negotiations, title examinations, surveying, estimating, appraising, and evaluation work.
