About The Position
The Rigging Technician is responsible for the repairs and rigging of boats and trailers. This role involves preparing boats for presentation and delivery to customers, ensuring that all components are properly attached, and examining vessels to discuss repairs or malfunctions with service advisors or customers. The technician must assure that both the boat and trailer are in safe and working order, install optional equipment and electronics, and troubleshoot electronic systems. Additionally, the technician will perform light duty tasks such as changing oil filters and conducting general service and warranty repairs, ensuring all warranty work is completed according to manufacturer and MarineMax guidelines. The role also includes completing repair work within established timeframes, participating in boat shows and promotional events, and maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
