About The Position

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a 2-3 Month turnaround position in the La Porte, TX area: RIGGER NCCCO/NCCER is a requirement for this position. Successful candidates will have continuous and current experience as a Rigger in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment. The essential job function of a rigger is to assemble rigging to lift and move various types of equipment and materials and demonstrate the ability to solve problems in rigging loads. The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. Requirements

NCCCO/NCCER is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

Selects cables, ropes, pullup, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved
Attaches pullup and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole boom with bolts and clamps
Attaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wire rope, and chains to crane hook
Gives direction to operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled
Sets up, braces, and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches
