About The Position

Lewis Energy Group is always looking for talented individuals to join our team! This position is not currently open, but we are now accepting applications for future openings in our industry leading company.
Summary:
Ensures the effective operation of all electrical tools and equipment on drilling rig keeping downtime to a minimum. Performs preventive, routine and non-routine electrical maintenance of drilling rigs and other related rig equipment both in a shop and field environment.

Requirements

• Minimum one year certificate from college, technical or vocational school.
• Minimum 3 years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred Journeyman License.

Responsibilities

• Completes troubleshooting repairs and/or modifications work on company assets according to company and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Travels to rig to resolve electrical issues if necessary.
• Performs preventative maintenance on motor control center, generators and electrical components on drilling rigs according to established schedule.
• Preplans operational needs, organizes equipment and supplies, and conducts testing of systems as required.
