About The Position

Mile High Flea Market, Denver’s oldest and favorite flea market for over 40 years, is seeking a confident, safety focused Ride Supervisorto join our team! As the Ride Supervisor, you will lead the daily operation of our amusement rides area, ensuring safe operations, consistent staff supervision, and a positive guest experience. This role is a frontline, hands-on supervisory position responsible for supervising ride operators, enforcing safety and company policies, coordinating maintenance needs, and modeling excellent customer service. The Ride Supervisor works closely with Operations, HR, and Maintenance to support staff accountability, safety compliance, and operational consistency. This is a Full-Time, hourly position paying $18–$19 per hour (based on experience). Full weekend availability is required, and the role involves working outdoors during operating hours.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in safety-sensitive, operations, or amusement environments a plus
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to enforce policies consistently and professionally
  • Comfortable working outdoors, weekends, and peak operating hours
  • Due to the safety-sensitive and supervisory nature of this role, employment is contingent upon successfully passing a post-offer background check

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all rides are operated in compliance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and state/OSHA regulations
  • Conduct daily ride inspections and test cycles prior to guest operation
  • Remove rides from operation and escalate issues as needed
  • Ensure ride operators are fit for duty before assigning tasks
  • Supervise ride operators during assigned shifts
  • Enforce attendance, uniform, phone usage, and safety policies consistently
  • Coach, document, and escalate performance or conduct issues in partnership with management and HR
  • Rotate operators between rides fairly while considering safety and physical demands
  • Assist with staffing coverage and scheduling needs
  • Support onboarding and training of new ride operators
  • Participate in recruiting and interviews as needed
  • Report ride issues and coordinate with maintenance teams
  • Track repairs, follow-ups, and safety documentation
  • Ensure ride operators provide friendly, professional guest service
  • Address guest questions or concerns related to ride operations
  • Serve as a visible role model and example of excellent customer service at all times
  • Reinforce standardized training and operational procedures
  • Support implementation of checklists, processes, and safety initiatives
  • Participate in leadership and compliance training
  • Perform ride operator duties as needed
  • Complete reports, incident documentation, and other assigned tasks
