About the position

The Rides Team Lead position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a part-time seasonal role focused on assisting Ride Supervisors in the daily operations of the Rides Department. This role emphasizes teamwork, guest service, and safety, while providing leadership and training to team members. The position requires a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment and ensuring the smooth operation of rides.

Responsibilities

• Assist Ride Supervisors in the day-to-day operation of the Rides Department.
• Promote teamwork and a supportive learning environment for all Team Members.
• Provide first-class Guest Service and interact with upset guests to resolve issues.
• Uphold complete knowledge of safety requirements and meet all safety standards.
• Enforce and implement a total safety culture for all Team Members.
• Train team members on rides and day-to-day operations, including continuous on-the-job training.
• Develop training plans for on-the-job rides training for both short-term and long-term success.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels within the Rides Department.
• Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and leadership regarding staffing and safety hazards.
• Assist with aspects of Ride Operation including rotations, break assignments, and trainings.
• Maintain programs related to Safety, Friendliness, Cleanliness, Appearance, and Guest Satisfaction.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Demonstrated excellent Guest Service skills and commitment to a Guest First philosophy.
• Availability to work flexible hours for holidays, weekends, and high-volume dates.
• Ability to work at heights of up to 200 ft. is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform quality control test ride throughs of Roller Coasters and Major rides is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to total safety and a strong background in the Rides Department.
• Team First attitude and people-oriented approach to leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and essential computer applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Active membership in the LIT program is recommended but not required.
• Strong performance history at Fiesta Texas or in other leadership roles.
