What you get to do: As a Ride Operator, you’ll provide exceptional guest service while delivering the thrills and excitement we’re known around the world for. You will ensure excellent guest service by responding to and exceeding their requirements, expectations and needs. In all you do, you will consistently practice safe work habits, including the use of personal protection equipment (PPE). You will also: Monitor rides, following all safety regulations Test equipment before opening ride Ensure guests meet ride admission requirements Assist in loading and unloading guests from ride Maintain area cleanliness Maintain guest safety Answer guest questions and advise them on show times and park attractions Maintain a professional appearance Report unsafe situations Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, vendors and our guests Perform other duties as assigned What it takes to succeed: At least 18 years of age Strong communication skills Exceptional interpersonal abilities A commitment to great customer service Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. What else is important: Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed You will perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing) Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English. Will perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals Must have 2 days of unrestricted availability in the non-peak season one of the days must be the weekend, must have 3 day of unrestricted availability during the peak season one of the days must be the weekend. Will work flexible schedules/hours based on business needs, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities Availability Requirement: This is a seasonal role The Sesame Place season runs from March 2026 through Labor Day 2026, with onboarding and all required training to be completed prior to the start of the season. Seasonal Ambassadors must have at least 5 days of unrestricted (12 continuous hrs. within operating hours for the area) availability to include both weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
