About The Position
As a Ride Operator at Six Flags, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a safe and enjoyable experience on our thrilling rides. This position is vital to the overall guest experience, as you will be responsible for operating the rides and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. You will entertain guests as they board the rides, helping to calm any nerves and enhance their excitement. Your duties will include pushing buttons and pulling switches to launch attractions, ensuring that all safety measures are in place, such as checking seatbelts and securing loose items. You will also enforce rider restrictions and measure guests for height requirements to ensure their safety while enjoying the rides. In addition to operating the rides, you will assist guests in and out of the ride vehicles, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow through the line. Maintaining cleanliness in the ride areas and midways is also part of your responsibilities, as you will work in a fast-paced environment that mirrors the excitement of our coasters. This role requires excellent verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, as you will be interacting closely with park guests and ensuring their well-being at all times. You must be able to react well in stressful situations and take direction from managers and supervisors. Additionally, you will need to pass ride certification tests with 100% accuracy to ensure you are fully qualified to operate the rides safely.
