About The Position

Join Pitney Bowes for a Ride Along Driver, 2nd Shift for our Reading, Pennsylvania Presort Services facility. Your hourly pay will be $16.25 per hour paid weekly with the possibility of overtime. Your 2nd Shift schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00PM - 3:00AM (EST). This schedule is subject to adjustments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years in age.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop and bend with or without accommodation.
• Ability to sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time (4 hours) without any stops or interruptions.
• Must have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the Pitney Bowes driver, and general public, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records if needed.

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicles and work areas clean.
• Regular attendance is mandatory.
• Demonstrate safety and security precautions and follow company policies.
• Accompany Pitney Bowes driver to customer pick-up location.
• Observe and verify driver loads commodity as required.
• Assist with ensuring vehicles are never left unattended while loaded.
