About The Position

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking a fellowship-trained Rhinology and Skull Base Otolaryngologist to join their academic practice. This position focuses on both surgical and nonsurgical management of sinonasal diseases, with an emphasis on collaboration with other specialists to provide comprehensive care. The role includes teaching, research, and clinical responsibilities, aimed at developing a multidisciplinary Rhinology and Skull Base Program.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Eligible in Otolaryngology
• Fellowship trained in Rhinology
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Virginia upon hire
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the teaching of residents, medical students, and other observers.
• Provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) lectures for professionals.
• Establish a reputation of excellence in clinical and/or translational research, with expectations for publication and potential external funding.
• Mentor residents and students in their research endeavors.
• Serve on departmental, Health System, and/or University committees as needed.
• Engage in professional service in the field, such as being a reviewer or conference organizer.
• Demonstrate excellence in the provision of care and treatment of patients within the discipline.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary clinical endeavors.
