About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Rheumatology, Assistant/Associate/Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. Responsibilities will include patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings as well as supervision and teaching of Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students. The program is affiliated with the University Medical Center (UMC) of Southern Nevada, and offers a comprehensive mix of inpatient and ambulatory teaching experiences. As an employee of UNLV, you will be a part of the most diverse university in the USA and a member of the Rebels Family, which includes the faculty, students and staff of the School of Medicine as well as several allied health professional schools. The SOM Faculty Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure (FAPT) Committee will use the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV (SOM) promotion criteria to recommend rank to the Dean of the SOM. Tenure consideration may be given upon hire on a case by case basis depending on verified previous credentials, the FAPT recommendation, and SOM Dean's recommendation.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program.
• Board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology.
• Possess and maintain a Nevada State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA license.
• Obtain Nevada medical license prior to start date.
• Meet malpractice coverage credentialing requirements.
• Obtain privileges at University Medical Center (UMC) and other site locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in teaching and supervising medical students and residents.
• Research experience in Rheumatology.
