POSITION SUMMARY: Boston Medical Center – Brighton, a member of the Boston Medical Center Health System, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to join our growing Division of Rheumatology. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated clinician to provide high-quality, patient-centered rheumatologic care in a collaborative, mission-driven academic health system. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive outpatient rheumatology services while working closely with primary care providers and subspecialists across the Boston Medical Center Health System to care for a diverse and medically complex patient population. Position: Rheumatologist Department: Department of Medicine Schedule: Full Time ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Position Highlights Primarily outpatient rheumatology practice at Boston Medical Center – Brighton Opportunity for full-time or part-time appointment Collaborative practice environment with strong primary care and specialty referral base Access to academic resources through Boston Medical Center Teaching opportunities with residents and medical students, based on interest Clinical faculty appointment at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, commensurate with experience Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, osteoporosis, and crystal arthropathies Perform office-based procedures as appropriate (e.g., joint aspiration and injection) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including primary care, orthopedics, nephrology, pulmonology, and dermatology Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts Engage in teaching and mentorship of trainees, as applicable Contribute to the mission and values of Boston Medical Center Health System JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an ACGME-accredited Rheumatology fellowship CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts EXPERIENCE: Interest in caring for a diverse, underserved population preferred KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Strong commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and FTE Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement plans with employer contribution Paid time off and CME allowance Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) About Boston Medical Center – Brighton Boston Medical Center – Brighton is a community-based teaching hospital providing high-quality care to patients across the Greater Boston area. Compensation range: $255,004 - $300,000 The base salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to clinical FTE, qualifications, experience, education, board certifications, specialty, training, and scope of practice. The above hiring range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Any eligible incentive compensation is not included in the above compensation range and will be discussed during the interview process. Requirements
