About The Position

Boston Medical Center - Brighton, a member of the BMC Health System, is seeking a fulltime BC/BE Rheumatologist to join the team. The ideal candidate will be a motivated leader with excellent clinical skills and a commitment to providing quality care. Our staff rheumatologist will coordinate care with referring primary care physicians and work closely with other specialists including orthopedists, spine surgeons, hand surgeons, neurosurgeons, and physical and occupational therapists. This position comes with the opportunity to teach residents and medical students. Support for a faculty appointment application, academic support for research projects, and mentoring are provided. The position offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive environment with strong ties to the Section of Rheumatology at Boston Medical Center – Main Campus, and ensuring access to subspecialty expertise, teaching opportunities, and research collaboration if desired.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Rheumatology residency.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and managing a wide range of rheumatologic conditions.
  • Outpatient practice in Norwood (3 days/wk) and Brighton (1-2 days/wk).
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
  • As part of an integration care team, collaborate with pharmacists in optimizing drug therapies, manage side effects and counsel patients on adherence
  • Provide optional teaching and supervision for medical students, residents, and APPs.
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical operations, and program development initiatives within the neurology service line.
