About The Position

The Division of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a Rheumatology faculty provider at the Assistant Professor level. Our team is comprised of academic physicians and allied health professionals specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic disorders. The Division is at the forefront of rheumatology research and is dedicated to integrating cutting edge therapies in the management of patients with rheumatic diseases both in the Hospital and Clinics. Our dedication to moving rheumatology forward is equally founded in a commitment to education. Our faculty teaches our next generation of clinicians through lectures, coursework, educational curriculum development, and through hands-on mentorship in our clinics and hospital wards.

Requirements

• Board certified in Rheumatology.
• Current medical staff privileges at OHSU and VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) at the time of start date.
• Unrestricted Oregon Medical Board and Washington State Medical licenses.
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license linked to Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to administrative duties based on divisional needs and areas of expertise.
• Provide direct patient care in Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases outpatient clinics, including digital and face-to-face clinics.
• Participate in adult rheumatology inpatient consult service for 2-3 months per year, including OHSU-only consult weeks and weekend coverage.
• Handle eConsults and other direct and indirect patient care divisional needs as assigned.
• Engage in teaching activities, including divisional conferences, student and fellow didactics, and participation in OHSU committees.
• Conduct research with available resources for start-up and ongoing support.
